Music Lessons - Adult Guitar Lessons - Level 2
INTRO TO GUITAR FOR ADULTS WITH AUSTIN SMITH Level 1 Introduction to guitar explores the basics of guitar knowledge and playing technique in a fun social setting. Participants will learn how to tune the instrument, picking/finger picking technique, how to read chord diagrams, and perform simple pop tunes. INTRO TO GUITAR FOR ADULTS WITH AUSTIN SMITH Level 2 Introduction to guitar level 2 builds upon the knowledge learned in level 1 and expands students rhythmic/harmonic vocabulary. Students learn a variety of songs in a fun social setting designed to focus on enhancing listening skills. Not sure which level you belong in? Biography
Austin Smith is a guitarist, composer, and music educator living in Truro, MA. He began his studies at Berklee College of Music where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Composition and later completed his Master's in Composition at UMass Amherst. He has performed a wide range of music with artists such as Lily Mae Harrington, John Thomas, Marton Juhasz, and the Boston Conservatory Chamber Ensemble. His most recent composition titled, Begin Again, was performed by the Hypercube Ensemble during their 2024 Fall workshop.
