Coach's Code of Conduct
COACH’S CODE OF CONDUCT
Good sportsmanship is a mandate of the Recreation Program. All coaches are expected to behave in a reasonable and civilized manner while participating in an activity, and to not take away from the enjoyment of participation for players and other coaches.
Coaches will not show favoritism to any players and do their best to ensure all players get equal playing time regardless of skill.
It is important that coaches set an exemplary behavior example for the team. Coaches should not ever use profanity, derogatory or racist language or be disrespectful to any player, parent, coach, official, Rec Staff, etc. Coaches should never be under the influence of substances, nor consume alcohol prior to any practice or game.
Coaches will work in cooperation with the Wellfleet Recreation Department to help ensure that players learn the game and enjoy participating. Coaches will communicate any issues to the Director or Assistant Director in a timely manner.
