Welcome to Wellfleet Recreation!
Our main facilities are located at 70 Kendrick Avenue across from beautiful Mayo Beach in Wellfleet Massachusetts. In addition to tennis, pickleball and basketball courts, we have a large playground, skate park, athletic fields, and volleyball net. Everyone in the family will find something fun to do! In summer, we offer free live music and shows at both our Baker's Field Pavilion across from Mayo Beach and Jan Rutz Harbor Bandstand at the Wellfleet Marina.
From mid-October through the end of May, our office is located in the Wellfleet Elementary School at 100 Lawrence Road.
Mission Statement
The Wellfleet Recreation Department seeks to identify the recreation needs of all members of the community, to create programs to fill those needs, and to encourage all community members to avail themselves of the recreation opportunities available to them. The Department welcomes the participation of individuals from every age group, regardless of demonstrated ability, previous experience and/or personal resources. The Wellfleet Recreation Department believes that recreational opportunities promote self-enrichment, enjoyment, relaxation, play and promotion of physical and emotional health and should be provided to the people of Wellfleet as a community service. We also believe that every person, young or old, should have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of fun activities that stimulate, challenge and improve the mind-body spirit.
